A virtual jewelry party is a 1-2 week period of time where you and your guests get to shop online at www.ambertortoise.com using a special code, and you earn a percentage of your Virtual Party's total sales in free products or cash- your choice.

Benefits

As a hostess, you will have a choice between earning cash or free jewelry as follows:

–   $250-$500 in Sales = 10% Cash or 15% Jewelry Credit

–   $500-$1000 Sales= 15% Cash or 25% Jewelry Credit

–   $1000+ Sales= 20% Cash or 30% Jewelry Credit

Your guests will enjoy a 10% discount on all jewelry ordered during the virtual party dates plus free domestic shipping.  A wide variety of jewelry and accessories at different price points means everyone will find something they love, for themselves or to give as a gift.

The best part is that everyone can shop from the comfort of their own home (or just about anywhere) for up to 2 weeks; there is no food prep, house cleaning, baby sitters, or travel to worry about!  You can even shop in your pajamas- what could be better!

How it Works

1. Contact Us to learn more and together we will select the dates and duration of your virtual party
2. Choose the guests you would like to invite (family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc.)
3. Send us the names and email addresses of your guests at least 1 week before the party** (don't worry, their information is safe with us; we NEVER sell or share any of our customer's information)
4. AmberTortoise will send an email invite to your guests with the simple instructions and their unique coupon codes
5. AmberTortoise will also send you templates that you can easily use to invite friends through Facebook or post in the breakroom at work (we make it super easy for you!)
6. During your 1-2 week party, guests make their purchases online and enter the coupon code provided
7. AmberTortoise creates, packages and ships all orders (you don't have to do a thing!)
8. Once the party concludes, you will receive a summary of sales and let us know if you would prefer a check or jewelry credit
9. You will receive your jewelry credit or check ~30 days after the conclusion of your party*

*Any returns made are deducted from the overall sales

**After your party begins, you may continue to invite as many guests as you'd like 

Party Size and Additional Information

There is a minimum of 8 guests to host a virtual party, but there is no maximum (and no limit to the amount you can earn or the number of parties you can host per year!)

There is a $250 sales minimum per virtual party in order to receive jewelry credit or cash.

Virtual Jewelry Parties are perfect for holiday shopping!  We recommend that you book parties starting in late October or early November for holiday shopping.  Let us know you are booking for the holidays and we will send your guests a handy list of people to remember to buy for (teachers, bosses, etc.).

Why I Offer Virtual Parties Instead of In-Home Parties

Most people have been to some kind of traditional in-home party, whether it was jewelry, candles or something else.  They can be fun, but many people dread it (I always did).  The hostess has the party to earn free product, so she is excited, but the guests typically aren't.  They come to support the hostess and end up buying something out of obligation or guilt.  "You can't go and then not buy something...." is what most people say.  It can also be discouraging for guests to be paying full price for an item that they know the hostess is going to get at a discount or for free.   

I personally do not enjoy this type of party.  I even tried it once, and only once, at the request of a customer.  Everyone seemed to have a great time, but it just wasn't something I felt comfortable with.  I believe someone should buy AmberTortoise jewelry because they truly LOVE it.  They appreciate quality craftsmanship and understand the life-long value that they are getting for their investment.  I don't want them to ever buy out of guilt or obligation.  I also want guests to look forward to the "party" and not dread it or try to find any excuse to get out of attending.

Since I still get a lot of requests to do home jewelry parties, I decided to offer a Virtual Jewelry Party instead, which I think combines the best of both worlds!  Jewelry credit or cash for the hostess, absolutely no pressure to buy anything, and the guests get to enjoy discounts too... all from the comfort of their own homes!
